Duo held over drugs in Lahad Datu
LAHAD DATU: Two local men were detained while 5.81gm of Syabu were seized following the Op Tapis operations, Wednesday.

District Police Chief, ACP Dzulbaharin Ismail, said at about 2.50pm, police arrested a 48-year-old man in the Jalan Reno Fajar area after finding 0.43gm of substances believed to be syabu in his possession.

He said the suspect also tested positive for taking drugs. 

The case would be investigated under Section 12(2) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.

“The suspect also tested positive for drug. The case would be investigated under Section 39A(1) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952,” he said.

Dzulbaharin added that both suspects will be remanded for further investigation and action.
