Kota Kinabalu: The significant increase in financial allocations for non-Islamic religious bodies and schools from RM70 million to RM90 million this year reflects the government’s unwavering commitment to supporting education, religious institutions and social development across the state.
Assistant Minister of Finance and Tanjung Kapur Assemblyman Datuk Ben Chong said this during a courtesy call with the Sabah China Chamber of Commerce (SCCC) delegation.
The SCCC delegation, led by President Datuk Frankie Liew, met Chong to discuss ongoing efforts and initiatives aimed at strengthening economic, trade, and investment cooperation between Sabah and China.
Chong briefed the delegation on his role in coordinating and administering these allocations, underscoring the government’s focus on inclusive development.
