PENAMPANG: Nearly 2,200 schoolboys and schoolgirls in Penampang benefited from the Ceasar’s Cut & Go Free Haircut Programme held over last weekend.
The programme covered 19 locations from Kepayan to Nambazan, making it the first large-scale “Back to School” initiative in the area, after previous efforts were conducted on a smaller scale and limited to a single outlet.

Organised by Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah Moyog Division Chief and Assistant Minister to the Sabah Chief Minister, Datuk Ceasar Mandela Malakun, the initiative aimed to ease the financial burden on families while helping students prepare confidently for the new school term.
Activities focused on densely populated communities, villages and selected barber shops across Penampang to ensure direct and effective outreach.
Parents and guardians welcomed the initiative, describing it as timely and helpful in reducing household expenses.
Ceasar who is also a nominated assemblyman expressed appreciation to community partners, participating barbers and volunteers, and hoped similar programmes would continue in the future for the benefit of students and the wider community.
