KENINGAU: The Bingkor Community Welfare Association urged Sabahans to give their full support to Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Haji Noor following the formation of the new Sabah Unity Government Cabinet, describing it as a crucial step to ensure stability and continuity of the Sabah Maju Jaya 2.0 agenda.
Its Chairman, Haji Yazid Haji Mohd Hasnan Tawik @ Charles (pic), said the newly-formed administration must be given the space to function without political manoeuvring that could disrupt its focus.
He said the formation of the new Cabinet was not merely a reshuffle but a clear signal that Sabah needs a stable, structured and decision-oriented administration.
“People want a government that is firm, clear, and willing to defend Sabah’s interests. This Cabinet sends a message that the administration must move seriously and with focus,” he said.
Yazid said every Minister must demonstrate strong discipline and work according to the priorities of the people.
“Those entrusted with ministerial roles must prove their capability. The public wants quick decisions, clear policies, and actions that have a direct impact on their daily lives,” he said.
He added that Sabah can no longer afford delays, weak policies, or unclear governance, especially when rural communities – including those in Bingkor – continue to face significant challenges.
Yazid said Hajiji’s firmness and patience in navigating state politics reflect principled leadership that has bridged political gaps and maintained stability.
“This is consistent leadership. This unifying approach must continue without compromise,” he said.
Yazid also emphasised that every Cabinet member must uphold integrity and prioritise implementation over rhetoric.
“Ministries must show clear improvements from planning to ground execution. The people want to see change, not just hear promises,” he said.
He further urged the government to place stronger focus on welfare issues, rural development and economic opportunities, particularly for the youth.
At the same time, he said the association remains committed to serving as a strategic partner to the State Government in welfare and social development initiatives.
“Public welfare is a heavy responsibility. We are ready to help drive any effort that benefits the community,” he said.
Yazid reminded that the new Cabinet is not merely a list of names but a weighty mandate to build the state’s future.
“The people are watching and judging by results. This Cabinet must work firmly, efficiently and honestly. Sabah needs action, not appearances,” he said.
