RANAU: Two individuals were injured while one unharmed after a van driven out of control crashed into an ambulance and several other vehicles near here on Friday.
Ranau Fire Station Head PPgB Rantey Fred said the incident occurred near SK Kundasang, Jalan Ranau-Kundasang at about 11.43am.
“A call was received via the Station Line about the incident and we rushed a group of five personnel led by Operations Commander, PBK II New Mond None@Paulus to the location.
“Upon arriving at the scene, which is two kilometres from Ranau Fire Station, we found that a Vannate vehicle collided with a KKM Ambulance vehicle.
There were three victims, the ambulance driver did not suffer any injuries, one patient was removed by the Fire Department and sent to the Hospital using an EMRS vehicle. The van driver suffered injuries,” he
Rantey said the van driver was handed over to the police because he acted aggressively towards the rescue team.
After ensuring that the situation was under control and that there was no other danger, he said, the operation concluded at 12.09pm.
