Kota Kinabalu: An early Aidilfitri morning turned tense when a Kia Pregio van was destroyed in a fire at Kampung Numbak, Manggatal, Saturday.

According to Info X, the incident at about 7.15am shocked residents preparing for Aidilfitri prayers, who alerted the authorities.

Firefighters and police rushed to the scene, with the blaze believed to have started from the rear of the vehicle, and no casualties were reported while the cause remains under investigation.
