KUNAK: The defeat of incumbent assemblywoman Datuk Norazlinah Arif (GRS) in Kunak has been attributed to various factors, including internal party mismanagement and failure to address grassroots concerns.
Former Kunak Community Development Leader (PPM), Hussin Mohd Rais, claimed Norazlinah’s poor handling of Gagasan Rakyat branches, which left some feeling sidelined, likely caused party leaders and members to withhold their support.
“Another reason is her handling of senior Gagasan Rakyat Kunak members. After defecting from Warisan and joining Kunak Gagasan Rakyat, administrative changes upset several party branches,” he claimed.
Hussin added that key appointees, including the Community Development Leader, Assistant District Officer, Native Chief Representatives, Village Development and Security Committee members and village heads were replaced.
