LAHAD DATU: Newly elected Kunak Assemblyman Datuk Seri Dr Anil Sandhu has pledged to serve the people following his victory in the 17th Sabah state election.
He thanked the Kunak voters for their support and trust, saying it strengthened his commitment to develop the constituency and improve the community’s well-being.
“People have given me a mandate to work. They want to see what I can do and hope to see my earlier efforts further strengthened,” he said.
Anil said the confidence placed in him would motivate him to give his best in serving the people.
He admitted that the victory was unexpected but believes his dedication and persistence in engaging with the Kunak community contributed to the positive outcome.
“I will do my best and start serving the people as soon as possible,” he added.
Representing Barisan Nasional (BN), Anil won the Kunak seat with 5,874 votes and a majority of 2,118, defeating Datuk Norazlinah Arif (GRS), Datuk Jasa Raudah (Warisan) and three other contenders.
