KOTA KINABALU: A teacher from SMKA Tun Datu Mustapha told the Coroner’s Court that the documents from five internal investigations into the incident involving Zara Qairina Mahathir would be kept by the school “forever” as part of its records.
Nurul Shahadah Ibrahim, 38, said the reports from the probes and written statements from students were intended solely for internal reference when questioned by counsel Clarice Vyone Conrad on Friday.
Clarice asked whether the reports were being kept “as reference, and then for what,” to which Nurul replied that they were “for record only.”
The lawyer then pressed if the documents would be retained “forever,” and Nurul confirmed this, saying “yes, true.”
When asked whether the school intended to hand the documents over to the police, Nurul said they did not, adding: “As I mentioned before, we really trust the authorities.”
