KOTA KINABALU: Gerakan Kuasa Rakyat Malaysia (G57) chairman Datuk Zulkarnain Mahdar (

He said Shafie’s allegation that some Sabahans working in the peninsula had become prostitutes was deeply hurtful and had angered many families with children studying or employed there.

Zulkarnain, who lodged a police report over the claim, said the remark insulted Sabahans from all sectors, from blue-collar workers to professionals, and questioned why Shafie would make such accusations when many sought jobs in the peninsula during his own tenure as Chief Minister.
He also filed a separate report against businessman Albert Tei over a viral video which he claimed was intended to mislead voters by suggesting political instructions behind Tei’s actions.
Zulkarnain said both reports were aimed at protecting Sabahans from manipulation in the final days before polling and urged those responsible to stop degrading the community.
