TAWAU: Parti Harapan Rakyat Sabah (Harapan Rakyat) president Tan Sri Liew Yun Fah has urged Kukusan voters to place their trust in the party’s sole candidate, saying the decision on 29 November will determine the constituency’s new direction.
He said Harapan Rakyat remains confident in the leadership potential of its candidate Samsiah Usman, but acknowledged that the final choice rests entirely with the voters.
Liew told reporters in Kukusan on Wednesday that the growing public support encouraged him to continue pushing for better infrastructure and community welfare in the area.
He said Samsiah’s selection was based on merit and her ability to serve all communities fairly, adding that voters today are more discerning and no longer swayed by political instructions.
Samsiah said she is grateful for the trust placed in her as Harapan Rakyat’s sole representative and the only female GRS candidate in the East Coast, adding that the responsibility motivates her to work harder for a GRS victory in Kukusan.
