LAHAD DATU: Silam Gabungan Rakyat Sabah’s election agent and the Silam Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) Women, Youth and Women Youth have lodged a police report over a social media post they say slandered their candidate, Datuk Mizma Appehdullah.
The report was filed at the district police headquarters at 11.55am on Tuesday.
Silam GRS election agent and Silam Gagasan Rakyat information chief Rosly Sawal said the report was made after an individual allegedly linked a land application issue to GRS in an online post.
He said the accusation was false and appeared aimed at weakening support for GRS in Silam as polling day approaches.
Rosly said the report was meant to ensure transparency during the campaign, with party lawyers also advising on possible next steps.
