KENINGAU: Dionysia Ginsos of Parti Kerjasama Anak Negeri (Anak Negeri) in Tambunan, is not intimidated by the competition in the seven-way race for the Sabah State Election on November 29.
As the only female candidate she views the political battle as an exciting challenge, especially when facing well-known figures such as Star President Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan and Tambunan PGRS chief Datuk Victor P Paut, who are contesting under the GRS banner.
“I accept the decision of the leadership to place me in the Tambunan constituency.
“I will strive to do my best as the underdog candidate to gain the support of the people,” she said.
Dionysia, 33, holds a master’s degree in economics.
“We want to see Tambunan emerge as one of the most developed districts in Sabah in the future, and there is still much to be done to realise this,” she said.
To this end, Dionysia encourages the public to give opportunities to young leaders with vision and calibre to lead Tambunan into an era of excellence.
