PENAMPANG: Parti Warisan’s claim of being a genuine Sabah-based party has been questioned following its decision to expand to the peninsula four years ago.
Moyog Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) vice chief Petrus Conrad Mojuntin (

He said the party’s move, followed by its poor performance in the 2022 general election, raised doubts about its commitment to Sabah, a concern echoed by several former party leaders.
Former Warisan Women’s chief Datuk Norazlinah Arif and former Warisan supreme council member Mohammad Mohamarin separately claimed Warisan’s expansion created internal unease and reflected ambitions that stretched beyond Sabah.
Petrus said the episode stands in contrast to Gabungan Rakyat Sabah’s (GRS) State-focused approach under Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, adding that voters should reconsider Warisan’s long-held claim of being a purely Sabah party.
