TUARAN: Caretaker Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor dismissed claims by the opposition that no progress had been made in Sulaman throughout his eight terms as its elected representative.
He said the people of Sulaman were aware of the work carried out over the years and continued to place their trust in him, adding that he remained confident of earning their support again on 29 November.
Hajiji highlighted major improvements such as upgraded housing, expanded road access to villages and the resettlement of long-standing coastal communities from stilt houses to safer permanent homes.
He said youth development also remained a priority, citing annual support for youth associations and the ongoing construction of the 100-acre Tuaran Sports Complex, including a new RM15 million grandstand.
Hajiji added that current infrastructure upgrades, including the Berungis–Batangan four-lane road and the Pan Borneo stretch from Serusop to Binturu, would further improve connectivity for Tuaran residents.
He made these remarks during an election rally here on Friday.
