SANDAKAN: GRS candidate for Sungai Manila, Hazem Mubarak Musa (

He said the Head of State is not allowed to campaign or vote, and that attempts to link his candidacy to his father’s position misunderstand the constitutional boundaries.
Hazem said his father only advised him to prioritise public welfare, and noted that water supply remains the most pressing concern among Sungai Manila residents.
He said he hopes to champion better opportunities for young people in the area, many of whom hold qualifications but struggle to find suitable employment.
Hazem also said the growing number of candidates in this election reflects a healthy democracy, with voters increasingly judging individuals based on their capability and integrity.
