Loke says PH wants to be constructive partner in Sabah

KOTA KINABALU: DAP Secretary-General Anthony Loke said Pakatan Harapan aims to be a constructive partner in any future Sabah coalition, assuring voters that the coalition remains committed to the state’s aspirations.

He told reporters in Luyang that the federal administration has never viewed Sabah as an adversary and regards the state as central to Malaysia’s overall progress.

Loke said PH is not entering the polls with a chief ministerial candidate and instead hopes to act as a bridge between the state and federal governments, particularly on issues such as the 40 per cent revenue entitlement.

He cautioned that a confrontational state government would risk years of political tension and delays in development projects, calling on Sabahans to vote strategically in the urban seats where PH is contesting.
