GRS draws biggest crowd as four candidates march to Tuaran nomination centre
TUARAN: Around 1,000 Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) supporters turned up this morning to escort four party candidates to the Dewan Sri Sulaman nomination centre here on Saturday.

GRS chairman Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, Datuk Joniston Bangkuai, Datuk Jasnih Daya and Dr Bonaventure Boniface marched nearly one kilometre from the Gagasan Rakyat Sulaman office at 8am, arriving about 20 minutes later to loud chants and kompang beats.

Crowd conditions remained orderly, monitored by 149 police officers, 20 RELA members and 11 police volunteers.

Hajiji is defending the Sulaman seat he has held since 1990, Joniston seeks a fourth term in Kiulu, Jasnih defends Pantai Dalit, and newcomer Dr Bonaventure contests Tamparuli.

Other parties, including Warisan, UPKO, PIS, PN, STAR and KDM, also arrived with large groups of supporters.
