Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Umno’s decision not to field a candidate against Parti Warisan in Semporna in the coming 17th Sabah Election suggests Langkah Kinabalu 2.0 has been activated.
StarSabah Kepayan Division Chairman, Bernard A. Logijin, echoed former Petagas assemblyman James Ligunjang, that both parties are again collaborating to form the next Sabah government.
Langkah Kinabalu involving both parties failed to unseat the GRS-PH government of caretaker Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
Bernard said Warisan’s recent claim of going solo to form a Sabah government comprising only Sabah-based parties, now appears to be empty political talk to fish for votes.
As such, Bernard advised the voters not to be deceived by Sabah Umno and Warisan.
“Support local party candidates that will fight for the people’s rights and interest. Langkah Kinabalu 1.0 failed.
“I believe 2.0 will face the same fate because voters are more mature, wiser and brave to make a significant change to safeguard themselves and future generations’ interest and rights,” he said.
