KOTA KINABALU: The City Police Headquarters has launched a traffic compound reduction campaign offering discounts of up to 70 per cent, in line with the recent announcement by the Home Ministry.
The campaign runs from 1 November to 30 December 2025, following the directive of the Director of the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM).
Payments can be made through the MyBayar PDRM application for users registered with MyDigital ID, or in person at the City Police Traffic Counter and Pos Malaysia branches nationwide.
The discount does not apply to non-compoundable offences, and the reduced rate is based on current fines, with a minimum payment of RM30.
City police chief ACP Kasim Muda urged the public to take advantage of this opportunity to settle outstanding summonses before 30 December and support efforts to encourage safer and more disciplined driving habits.
