PKDM eyes Kiulu but fears split votes
Henry, who is also PKDM Kiulu Chief Coordinator, urged voters to give PKDM a chance in the coming 17th State Election.
Tuaran: Splitting votes among opposition parties in Kiulu will only strengthen the chances of the ruling Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) coalition retaining the seat, said People’s Democratic Welfare Party (PKDM) Vice President Henry Saimpon.

He said they would struggle to capture the PBS stronghold if votes are fragmented. Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS), a GRS component party, has long dominated the constituency.

Henry, who is also PKDM Kiulu Chief Coordinator, urged voters to give PKDM a chance in the coming 17th State Election.

“PKDM welcomes any opposition party to contest as part of the democratic process. However, voters must be cautious and avoid vote fragmentation as seen in past elections, which only paved the way for the incumbent’s victory.

Henry said the previous fragmentation of opposition votes in Kiulu should serve as a lesson, adding that PKDM, contesting the seat for the first time, is appealing to voters for their understanding and support.

Meanwhile, he reminded the PKDM Kiulu election machinery to intensify preparations and work diligently to secure victory in the upcoming polls.
