KOTA KINABALU: A doctor told the Coroner’s Court that there were no signs of bruises or abuse on Zara Qairina Mahathir, apart from the severe injuries she sustained when she was found at her school hostel on July 16 this year.
Dr Janefer Voo of Queen Elizabeth Hospital said Zara was received in an unconscious condition with a head wound, fractures to her left wrist and both ankles, and suspected internal bleeding due to “high impact” trauma, as her blood pressure was critically low.
Dr Voo testified as the third witness in the inquest to determine the cause of Zara’s death before Coroner Amir Shah Amir Hassan on Tuesday.
