KOTA KINABALU: Political Secretary to Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali, Ghazali Hajiji, has refuted claims circulating on social media suggesting the minister’s child is linked to the recent death of a student at SMKA Tun Datu Mustafa.
In a Facebook post, Ghazali clarified, “For the record, none of Datuk Armizan’s children attend that school.”

He added that a police report has been lodged against a TikTok user under the handle ‘saka_merah7’ for allegedly spreading false and malicious content intended to defame the minister.
“Social media must not be used to spread slander or stir assumptions that lead to dangerous falsehoods,” he said.
Ghazali said it is his duty to counter the spread of misinformation, especially when the family of the late student is still grieving.
“This is a time for empathy, not political exploitation. Sabah’s political scene is mature.
"There’s no need to stoop this low. Enough is enough. We are better than this,” he stressed.
