Filipinos here advised not to expect financial help
Kota Kinabalu: The Philippine Overseas Labor Office in Kuala Lumpur suspended the acceptance of cash assistance applications effective last Monday (April 20) due to limited funding from the Department of Labour and Employment (Dole) in Manila.

Its Labor Attache Johnson Canete (pic) said his office received 5,849 cash assistance applications, of which 899 were processed.

“We already approved 656 applications and 84 cases were denied due to lack of supporting documents,” he posted on the Philippine Embassy’s official Facebook and Polo website and appealed for understanding from the affected OFWs.
