Ronaldo Ignasius sustained severe abdominal and bodily injuries in the 6pm crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kota Marudu District Police Chief Supt Simiun Lomudin said initial investigations revealed the Myvi, driven by a 66-year-old man, was travelling from the Timbang Batu roundabout towards the Popok roundabout.
“Upon arriving at the scene, the Myvi collided with the oncoming motorcycle,” he said in a statement.
He added that the Myvi driver suffered minor head injuries, while an elderly female passenger sustained left shoulder injuries and was sent to the hospital for treatment.
