Kota Kinabalu: A shop ledge collapsed onto two parked cars (pic) at a two-storey shophouse in Kian Yap Industrial estate early Thursday, with the business owner saying it was not the first such incident in the area.
“Based on the CCTV, the incident happened at 1.50am,” said the owner of the affected premises, who wanted to be identified only as Wong.
“This is the second time something like this has happened in this area,” she said, adding that no one was hurt during the incident.
She has been operating a swimming pool making business at the premises for 20 years.
The two vehicles damaged were an Isuzu four-wheel-drive and a car.
In October 2024, three vehicles - a Perodua Myvi, a Perodua Aruz and a Toyota Vios - were damaged when the ledge of a corner shop building in the same area collapsed.
No injuries were reported in that incident.
