She said the stay offers a retreat from city life, elevated by Sabah-inspired guest experiences.
“We are looking into hosting local handicraft [initiatives as part of our efforts to engage the community and showcase their products],” she said.
The hotel features 167 guestrooms with premium options featuring private patios and the dining menu focuses on fresh, seasonal ingredients, on top of that the iconic Tuaran Mee.
Media representatives from Peninsular Malaysia were impressed by the new Tuaran resort, some described it as “paradise”.
“Wow, you come in and there is no noise outside… [Sighting] fireflies was the best experience for me,” said visitor Mr Ong.
Another visitor Kaylee said there is a lot to do during the stay and it is something you won’t get to see in the city on a daily basis, similar to an island getaway and without needing to travel overseas.

A traveller from Kuala Lumpur Wirda said Hilton always offers the best experience.
“I was very excited when they invited me to Tuaran the other day, because I am going out of Kota Kinabalu… I will come again because my children love this kind of place, and now that I have grandchildren,” she said.
