Kota Kinabalu: More than 30 people applied to join the AADK Anti-Drugs Squad during a roadside campaign in Kampung Air, Saturday, organised by Nominated Assemblywoman Grace Lee Li Mei.
Grace said the encouraging response reflected growing community support for anti-drug efforts, saying such initiatives play a meaningful role in strengthening grassroots awareness.
The PKR Kota Kinabalu Chief hopes youths, in particular, would not only adopt an anti-drug stance but also take on a more active role as the “eyes and ears” for enforcement authorities, especially in urban areas and locations identified as drug hotspots.
“By empowering the community, especially young people, we can help turn black areas into safer places through awareness and collective action,” she said.
