Kota Kinabalu: The State Ministry of Finance is still awaiting approval from the State Attorney-General's Chambers on the draft agreement for the handover of Perdana Park at Hone Place in Tg Aru to City Hall (DBKK).
“As soon as DBKK receives the official handover (signed legal documents), the park will be reopened to the public.

“Currently, DBKK is only assisting in maintaining the park to prevent damage caused by vandalism,” said Mayor Datuk Seri Dr Haji Sabin bin Samitah, Sunday.
He was responding to “Only In Sabah A Dozen Otters Can Close A RM50m Park!” in the Daily Express Comments & Analysis column.
It questioned the prolonged delay in reopening the park which was opened to the public in 2011 but has remained closed following attacks by otters on some joggers two years ago.
“I have also contacted the Permanent Secretary (SUT) of the Ministry of Finance to help expedite the process of handing over Perdana Park to DBKK,” assured the Mayor.
