KOTA KINABALU: More than 30 people have applied to join the AADK Anti-Drugs Squad during a roadside campaign in Kampung Air on Saturday, organised by Nominated Assemblywoman Grace Lee Li Mei.
The PKR Kota Kinabalu Chief welcomed the strong response, saying it reflects growing community support and urging youths to act as “eyes and ears” for authorities, especially in urban drug hotspots.

Participants also received motor oil subsidies during the programme.
Sabah JPJ Deputy Director Erick Jusiang said the department supports anti-drug efforts through joint operations with AADK, including urine tests on drivers.
Sabah AADK Director Elmariah Chung said the initiative is part of efforts to expand community-based programmes, noting the state has about 20,000 registered anti-drug volunteers, with more outreach planned in Kota Kinabalu.
