SANDAKAN: Borneo Flyers and Fiji’s Nationwide Nadi 7s emerged champions as the Borneo 7s 2026 concluded at Eagles Rugby Club Stadium with strong crowd support.
The Borneo Flyers claimed the women’s title with a 19–5 win over Uzbekistan in the final, completing an unbeaten run throughout the tournament.
In the men’s competition, Nationwide Nadi 7s defeated Kazakhstan 38–5 in the final to secure the title with a dominant performance across all stages.
Malaysia’s BR7s Development Squad won the Men’s Plate after defeating Fizzpapa Belgium Rugby 7s 21–10, marking a turnaround following an opening defeat.
Eagles Rugby Club president Velayuthan Tan said the tournament, which featured 14 teams from eight countries, continues to promote youth development, sustainability and community engagement.
