Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah para archery team, who had a successful outing at the Allianz-MSN National Para Archery Circuit 1 2026 last month, received a courtesy call from Datuk Peter Chia Yun Kong recently.
The businessman and philanthropist with his charity foundation team showed up at their training ground at the Likas shooting range to extend his congratulations.

During the visit, Chia brought along food supplies and observed the para archers as they practised at the range as well as touring their living quarters, providing insights and suggestions on how to enhance their living conditions.
State para archery coach Paul Leong, who was recently elected as Strong Will Archery Club president, expressed his appreciation to Chia’s visit.
He said Chia’s willingness to offer his assistance to the special community reflects his genuine commitment to supporting a meaningful cause.
“This kind gesture is not only a reflection of his concern for the growth of para sports, but also a strong endorsement of empowering athletes to continue striving for excellence at every level.
“It stands as a powerful symbol of community support for their dedication and efforts in bringing pride to the state of Sabah,” he said.
