Kota Kinabalu: Sabah-based designers have gained national recognition after securing multiple wins across categories at the Designer of the Year (Doty) 2026 awards.
The Designer of the Year (Doty) Awards is a prestigious annual platform celebrating outstanding works by Malaysian and international designers, recognising creativity, innovation and excellence in the design industry.
Organised as a benchmark platform for design excellence, the awards also serve as a stage for designers to showcase their work and contribute to the advancement of the industry both locally and regionally.
Among the Sabah winners was Bluedraft, which took the Rising Star Award, a Silver in the Best Commercial F&B category for its project Seora at Willow Coffee in Riverson, and a Merit in the Best Residential Landed category for Chaléur in Taman BDC.
