SANDAKAN: More than 100 pupils of SK Balaban Jaya in Beluran have been forced to attend classes in a mosque and a village hall since mid-January after their school was declared unsafe due to severe structural damage.

The situation, marked by exposure to heat and rain, has raised concerns over poor learning conditions.

Assistant Rural Development Minister Datuk Samad Jambri said a transparent review is underway, with a short-term solution to be finalised next week, including a possible temporary site for the affected students.
