Kota Kinabalu: A Daily Express random survey at three Ramadan bazaar locations in Bukit Padang, Metro Town and Kolombong found most visitors describing prices as reasonable, even though spending up to RM50 each time on drinks, rice with fried chicken or fish and assorted kuih muih.
“The prices are not that much different from previous years. It is still reasonable but can be a bit pricey if buying every day,” said one customer, Moon. This forced her to visit the bazaar only once a week, instead of daily.
She said time constraints is why she prefers buying out rather than cooking at home.
Another customer, Ana, said she spends around RM100 per visit, buying dishes like chicken, fish, squid, prawn, assorted kuih-muih and beverages for her family of four.
