KOTA BELUD: Sabah Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industry Minister Jamawi Jaafar met residents of Kampung Piasau Dundau to address a long-standing irrigation problem affecting paddy cultivation in the area.
Jamawi said the issue, reported for the past three years, is being reviewed with relevant agencies to ensure farmers can resume planting during the main season in August.

Several short-term measures were agreed following discussions with villagers, local leaders and relevant departments.
Jamawi also apologised for delays in resolving the issue and pledged to ensure the matter is addressed.
