Kuala Lumpur:  A viral video showing a man being confronted for feeding stray dogs at a shop-lot area has sparked debate online.

In the clip shared by Malaysia Independent Animal Rescue on Facebook, a man in a blue T-shirt was questioned by another individual believed to be a local eatery owner over his actions.

The individual recording the video alleged that feeding stray animals in the area had caused inconvenience to nearby businesses and claimed the animals often remained there after being fed.

The man in blue defended his actions, saying the dogs were hungry and pointing out that one of the strays appeared injured.

The exchange later became heated after the eatery owner allegedly told him to feed the animals elsewhere, while the man replied that the dogs were also “God’s creatures” and deserved food.

The video drew mixed reactions online, with many users praising the man for helping the stray animals while others raised concerns over cleanliness and the growing number of strays in commercial areas.
