KOTA BELUD: A cement lorry driver was injured after the vehicle skidded and overturned along Jalan Bukit Kelawat here on Friday afternoon.

The Fire and Rescue Department received the call at 2.49pm and a team from the Kota Belud station, located about 22km away, arrived at the scene at 3.15pm.

Operations commander PBK I Hasmaddy Agum said the driver had already been taken to hospital by a Health Ministry ambulance before firefighters arrived, and the team later cut off the lorry’s battery and cleared spilled cement dust from the road before ending the operation at 4.20pm.
