KOTA KINABALU: Nominated assemblywoman Grace Lee Li Mei said this year’s “Ramadhan Untuk Semua” programme carried deeper meaning, serving as a reminder of the importance of understanding and standing in solidarity with Muslim friends during the fasting month.
Organised with PKR Kota Kinabalu, the initiative saw its Chief and her team prepare and distribute 3,300 items at 15 locations across the city on Sunday, comprising 1,500 bubur lambuk, 1,500 packets of dates and 300 servings of bubur kacang hijau.

She said the annual programme felt “sweeter” this year as they were directly involved from cooking to packing and distribution, instead of relying on catering services.
“As someone who is not Muslim, this is my way of showing respect and support. What makes it most meaningful is seeing people of different backgrounds working side by side and embracing the spirit of Ramadan together,” she said, adding that care was taken to use quality ingredients.
Grace expressed hope that the effort would continue to benefit the community and strengthen harmony in the state capital.
