He added that of the 16,059 premises inspected nationwide, 6,268 were Ramadan bazaars, with only two cases recorded, demonstrating a very satisfactory level of compliance among traders.

He said the Ministry would continue to intensify monitoring efforts throughout the Ops Pantau 2026 period and urged consumers to act as the eyes and ears of the authorities by lodging complaints through the Ministry’s official channels if they encounter any violations.

“The Ops Pantau will continue until March 20 to ensure compliance with the law, maintain price stability and guarantee sufficient supply throughout Ramadan until Aidilfitri.”

Meanwhile, Armizan said the Jualan Rahmah Madani programme had now become a permanent government initiative and was no longer conducted on an ad hoc basis.

He said the programme was scheduled to be held three times a month in each state constituency, with an advance calendar provided on the Ministry’s website to help the public plan their purchases.

“During this Ramadan, the Ministry is targeting the implementation of 1,898 Jualan Ragmah Madani nationwide, and as of Saturday, a total of 541 programmes have been implemented,” he said.

On the RM300 million allocation under the 2026 National Budget to implement programmes under the Payung Rahmah initiative this year to address the cost of living, Armizan said the funding would support ongoing improvements to the “Program Jualan Rahmah’ Madani (PJRM) in conjunction with Ramadan and the coming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.

“As of Feb 28, a total of 541 PJRM Ramadan sales series have been implemented nationwide. Through the programme, consumers are able to purchase essential items at discounts ranging from 10 to 30 per cent below current market prices, made possible through government subsidies.

“Members of the public can refer to the PJRM calendar at [https://pjrm.kpdn.gov.my](https://pjrm.kpdn.gov.my) for information on the dates and locations of sales events held near them during Ramadan,” he said.
