Its chief Chan Loong Wei

He said Sabah and Sarawak are equal partners in the federation under the Malaysia Agreement 1963, and policies must take into account differences in geography, structure and cost of living.

Chan said issues such as fuel pricing and diesel subsidies in the two regions should not be viewed solely through international geopolitical developments, but rather domestic challenges including higher logistics costs and difficult terrain.
He said diesel remains a critical cost component in Sabah due to reliance on land transport across rural and hilly areas, with any increase likely to directly affect prices of essential goods.
Chan urged all parties, particularly PAS and opposition leaders, to avoid politicising issues affecting public welfare and instead focus on policies grounded in local realities and the spirit of MA63.
