Kota Kinabalu: PBS Acting President, Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam, expressed gratitude to the Hong Men Sabah Welfare Association for their RM20,000 cash donation to assist flood victims in the state.
The contribution was presented by the association’s Chairman, Raymond Yong, and received personally by Joachim at his office on Monday.

He said the financial aid would be channelled by the party to ease the burden of flood victims, particularly in Kota Marudu and other areas affected by the recent floods.
PBS Youth Exco Chief Datuk Christoper Mandut represented the party leadership in delivering aid to flood victims in Kampung Sungoi Darat and Kampung Masalog, Kota Marudu, on Tuesday.
“It is hoped that the assistance provided will ease the burden and help meet the daily needs of the affected families,” said Joachim.
He noted that efforts to help disaster victims require continuous support from welfare organisations, the private sector, and individuals to ensure the recovery process is carried out effectively.
Joachim also hoped that more organisations and parties would step forward to provide aid for the welfare of affected communities, strengthening the spirit of solidarity in facing challenges.
