“A nearby non-permanent house was also affected, sustaining about 20 per cent damage.
“An Isuzu D-Max vehicle was also impacted, with approximately 10 per cent damage,” he said in a statement on Monday.
The firefighting operation involved six personnel from the Kota Kinabatangan Fire and Rescue Station and four members of the Saguon Volunteer Fire Brigade.
They used a portable pump and water sourced from a nearby hydrant, along with a hose line from the fire engine.
The fire was brought under control at 6.48am, and operations were fully concluded at about 7.58am after the area was declared safe.
“Further investigations will be carried out to determine the exact cause of the fire.
“No casualties were reported and all personnel involved in the operation are safe,” he added.
