KOTA KINABALU: Deputy Minister Datuk Mohamad Alamin officiated the dividend payout and new K-Care Clinic launch of Koperasi Pekerja-Pekerja Kerajaan Sabah Berhad (Kopeks) in Sembulan on Sunday.
A total of RM323,925 was distributed for 2023 and 2024, reflecting the cooperative’s strong performance and syariah-compliant governance.
Alamin urged cooperatives to operate as sustainable businesses and diversify beyond government reliance.
Kopeks currently runs three K-Care Clinic branches in Sembulan, Sulaman Sentral, and Kota Belud, providing affordable healthcare, and serves as Sabah’s sole cooperative appointed by the Malaysian Cooperative Commission as a Mentor for Governance and Syariah Compliance.
