KENINGAU: The public has been reminded not to dispose of rubbish indiscriminately to prevent pollution in the township.
Keningau District Officer Peter Jonu Moinjil urged residents to use the bins provided for waste disposal.
He emphasised that littering is an irresponsible act that contributes to environmental pollution.
“Improper waste disposal attracts animals like dogs, which rummage through the trash and scatter it outside the bins,” he said on Saturday, addressing the actions of individuals who dump waste in inappropriate locations.
