NABAWAN: The Pamuntarian–Ulu Mosopoh road, which is frequently inundated when the Pamuntarian River overflows, continues to pose serious challenges for villagers travelling to Nabawan town to sell their agricultural produce.
Residents from Kampung Pamuntarian, Kampung Tiang, Kampung Nakuyung, Kampung Salarom Baru and Kampung Ulu Mosopoh have urged the government to expedite plans to upgrade the road.

Those interviewed said the road, which serves as the main access route for the villages, requires urgent improvement as daily activities are often disrupted during floods. They highlighted that patients are unable to be transported to the Nabawan Health Clinic for treatment when the road becomes impassable.
Teachers from Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Pamuntarian and SK Ulu Mosopoh are also reportedly stranded when the road is submerged.
A survey conducted on Wednesday found that some students were unable to attend school as vehicles could not pass when floodwaters rose above knee level.
Residents suggested that if a full upgrade cannot be implemented immediately, the authorities should at least raise several low-lying sections prone to flooding to prevent water from overflowing onto the road during heavy rains.
The flooding issue has persisted for decades and has been highlighted multiple times in electronic and print media, including TV3, but residents claim that no concrete action has been taken to resolve the problem.
