Kota Kinabalu: Persatuan Perunding Malaysia Rumah Keduaku Sabah (PPMRKS – Sabah-MM2H) paid a courtesy visit to State Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Jafry Arifin to convey congratulations on his appointment as Minister.
The visit, led by Founding President Jenny Ngu together with committee members, was also to reaffirm the Association’s support for the Ministry’s efforts in strengthening Sabah’s tourism and related sectors.
Sabah-MM2H is an important programme under the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment, aimed at promoting Sabah as a preferred long-stay destination for international participants.
The programme plays a strategic role in attracting foreign residents, encouraging long-term stays and stimulating local economic activities across tourism, property, services and related industries.
During the meeting, both parties discussed potential areas of collaboration to further enhance and improve the Sabah-MM2H programme.
The discussions focused on strengthening policies, improving implementation efficiency and increasing international outreach to attract more quality participants to Sabah.
The Association also highlighted the broader benefits of the programme, including increased foreign investment, higher tourism-related spending, job creation and greater international visibility for Sabah as a safe, attractive and vibrant destination for long-term stay and retirement.
PPMRKS (Sabah-MM2H) also took the opportunity to invite Jafry to grace the Association’s Pre-Chinese New Year Dinner Gala, held in conjunction with its first Installation Ceremony, as the Guest of Honour.
