I BET Rhinos fans are buzzing with excitement with Sabah FC’s recent signings as the team gears up to face PDRM FC this Sunday in the first leg of the Challenge Cup competition at Likas Stadium.
The recruitment of the five import players, French attacking player Chris Marlon Ondong Mba, striker Belfort Kervensfils from Haiti, Croatian midfielder Duje Ljubic, left-back Ernesto Amantegui Phumipha from Thailand and Spanish centreback Jose Angel Alonso is seen as a bold move by the management to strengthen the squad.
This followed the recent departure of Daniel Ting to Ratchaburi FC in the Thai League 1, Stuart Wilkin and Ajdin Majugic joining Johor Darul Ta’zim FC.
As noted in my previous columns, I have my concerns about the team’s attacking capabilities especially after the departure of Ajdin and Stuart.
