KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor welcomed Shell Malaysia’s initiatives to increase local participation in Sabah’s oil and gas industry to expand economic opportunities for Sabahans.
He said the State Government last year set a 100 per cent target to increase the value of Oil and Gas Services and Equipment contracts awarded to local companies.

Hajiji said this during a courtesy visit by Shell Malaysia’s Country Chair and Senior Vice President of Upstream Malaysia, Siti Sulaiman, at Menara Kinabalu here today.
During the meeting, Siti provided a business update on Shell’s ongoing activities and projects in Sabah, including efforts to nurture local entrepreneurship through the Shell LiveWire programme.
