LAHAD DATU: Police arrested two men and seized drugs believed to be Syabu in an operation carried out by the Narcotic Crime Investigation Division on Monday.
District Police Chief ACP Dzulbaharin Ismail said the operation followed a public tip-off and swift police action.
“During the operation, the team apprehended the two men. Upon inspection, one of them was found in possession of substances believed to be Syabu weighing 5.28 grammes, along with tools for drug abuse.
“Urine tests showed both suspects tested positive for Amphetamine and Methamphetamine,” he said.
Both men are being investigated under Section 39A(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for possession and Section 15(1)(a) for drug abuse.
Dzulbaharin added that the operation reflects Lahad Datu Police Headquarters’ commitment to combating criminal activities, including drugs, in the district.
